SeeOnMe’s CAIO, Dr. Ricardo Sousa, PhD, to speak at DCE 2025 in Porto, Portugal
We’re excited to share that Dr. Ricardo Sousa, our CAIO (Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer) at SeeOnMe, has been invited to speak at the Doctoral Congress in Engineering (DCE25), hosted by the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Porto, June 30 to July 1.
Ricardo will be joining a panel at the Symposium on Electrical and Computer Engineering, focused on startups launched by former PhD students. It’s a great match for Ricardo and a meaningful moment for us as a team.
This year’s theme, “From University to Society: Shaping Tomorrow’s Leaders,” centers on how academic work connects to real-world impact. That’s the space we live in every day. Turning research into something useful and lasting is hard work. It takes focus, resilience, and a strong sense of why it matters.
We’re building in a space filled with noise and pressure. AI is moving fast. Startup culture is obsessed with speed. But the breakthroughs that matter come from clarity, not hype. While others rush to release what they can, we’re staying committed to building what we know needs to exist.
Ricardo brings both deep academic insight and sharp practical thinking. He’s helped shape SeeOnMe into what it is today. This panel is a chance to share what we’ve learned so far and open the door to real questions from others walking a similar path.
If you’re considering a jump into startups, curious about what it really takes, or just want to hear a more honest take on building from the ground up, we’d love to hear from you.
What excites you most about building something new?
What assumptions about startups should we challenge?
What do you want answered with honesty and clarity?
Send us your thoughts (team@seeonme.ai). We’ll do our best to bring them into the conversation.
